Město hříchu – Pattaya
I přesto, že jsme toto místo již jednou navštívili a tehdy jsme se s Martinem shodli na tom, že nám dva dny strávené v tomto turisticky nejnavštěvovanějším městě Thajska naprosto stačily, letos jsme se rozhodli jej navštívit znovu. Opět nás zlákal noční život a možnosti, které toto místo nabízí.
Při minulé návštěvě Thajska jsme měli štěstí na ubytování, kdy jsme narazili na hotel, který právě otevřel, byl v testovacím režimu a nabízel ubytování za speciální cenu. Za cenu běžně velice špatného pokoje (starý, špinavý, nevybavený) jsme byli ubytovaní v naprostém luxusu.
Letos jsme takové štěstí neměli a museli se smířit s tím naprosto nejhorším, když tedy nepočítám sdílené ubytování s dalšími až osmnácti lidmi na jednom pokoji. Přes celý pokoj jedna stará rozvrzaná postel, pokoj bez okna a klimatizace, kde bylo neustále šílené horko a nedýchatelný vzduch. Abychom se v noci neudusili, měli jsme otevřené dveře od pokoje na chodbu. Protože jsem se však bála, aby nám někdo z pokoje něco neukradl, neustále jsem se budila. Ale s tím se musí v tomto městě počítat. Pokud chcete být ubytováni v centru města, blízko pláže, cena pokojů bývá hodně vysoká (nebo pokoje hodně špatné :-D)
Pattaya žije celý den. Město je ve dne i v noci plné turistů, na cestách jsou neustále kolony aut. Pokud se ve špičce snažíte dostat do jiné části města, musíte počítat s tím, že to zabere dost času. Takové přelidněné město vám pak dokáže pěkně zkazit náladu. Na každém kroku restaurace, bary….večer potom v těchto barech najdete spoustu místních děvčat, které si tady vydělávají na živobytí.
Kolem desáté hodiny večer jsme se vydali na procházku po promenádě. A tam jsme se kochali nabídkou místních děvčat. Malé, velké, tenké, tlusté, staré, mladé, většinou jen ženy, sem tam nějaký muž a také transvestiti, kteří jsou mnohdy k nerozeznání od místních děvčat.
Na konci promenády se nachází vstup na Walking street. Na této ulici je absolutně největší koncentrace Go-Go barů ve městě. Dívky stojí před bary a lákají turisty dovnitř. Před každým z barů nebo klubů stojí také lidé, kteří vám nabízejí nápojové lístky a snaží se vás nalákat právě do jejich baru. Asi hodinu jsme tyto lísky odmítali až jsme zjistili, že to nejsou nápojové lísky, které vám běžně nabízejí před každou restaurací, ale lístky s nabídkou sexuálních praktik. Některé věci nás v Asii nepřestanou překvapovat.
Vstup na Walking Street. 
Zajímavé je, že na druhé straně ulice, nad nápisem Walking Street je umístěna fotka krále a královny.
Kromě tohoto druhu zábavy jsme měli možnost na Walking Street sledovat i thajský box. Naživo to vypadá úplně jinak než v televizi.
